Acquisition Expands Service Area By 10 Counties
Lilburn, Ga. – UHS-Pruitt Corporation proudly announces the
acquisition of the CH Mann Home Health Agency. Offices operated by CH Mann in Griffin, Newnan, Warm Springs and Cumming,
Georgia will do business under the United Home Care name. The purchase is effective October 12, 2004.
“We are extremely excited to have this opportunity to provide home health services in these
new communities, said Neil L. Pruitt, Jr., Chairman and CEO. “We commit to the patients, families and staff at the
new United Home Care locations to work diligently to ensure a smooth transition to our care, while providing the same level
of care to which they are accustomed.”
United Home Care currently has offices in five locations; Decatur, Blue Ridge, Cleveland, Monroe
and Cobb County, Georgia. Their agencies serve over 350 patients daily. The organization provides home health services
including skilled nursing services; certified nursing assistants to aid with activities of daily living; physical, speech
and occupational therapy; and medical social work to patients that are home bound. These services are for individuals who
have Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial and Private Insurance benefits.
“Our strategic plan dictates that we will expand in markets where our expansion will
benefit the quality of care delivered to those that we are about to serve,” continued Mr. Pruitt. “Through this
outreach of healthcare into the communities, we are providing a natural extension to the work that is currently done in our
healthcare centers.”
